Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before opening the charger.

Confirm source: Place your ear near (but not touching) the charger to confirm the noise is from the unit and not from the panel or other equipment.
Internal inspection (qualified person): With power off, open the charger and gently check that any transformers or inductors are firmly mounted and that no wires are touching vibrating parts.
Tighten hardware: Secure any loose screws or brackets that could be resonating.
Monitor for heat or smell: If noise is accompanied by overheating or burning smell, stop using the charger and replace the control board or power supply module.
If noise is minor and no other symptoms: It may be normal magnetostriction hum. If objectionable, consult Emporia about replacement options.
