Safety: Turn off power at the breaker before touching or opening the charger.

Identify noise source: Listen carefully to confirm the noise comes from the contactor area inside the Emporia charger.
Check mounting (qualified person): With power off and cover removed, ensure the contactor is firmly secured to its mounting points and that no loose hardware is vibrating.
Inspect for heat or damage: Look for discoloration or burning on the contactor. If present, replace it.
Verify supply voltage stability: An electrician can check that control voltage to the contactor coil is stable and within specification.
If buzzing persists despite secure mounting and stable voltage: Replace the contactor with an Emporia-approved part. Persistent chattering can lead to premature failure.
