Internet outage, DNS or firewall issues on home network, Emporia cloud service temporary outage, Firmware bug in network stack
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No high-voltage work is needed for this issue.
- Check internet access: Confirm other devices on the same network can reach the internet.
- Restart network equipment: Power cycle your modem and router. Wait until internet is fully restored.
- Check Emporia status: Visit Emporia’s support site or status page (if available) to see if there is a known cloud outage.
- Update firmware: When connectivity is partially restored, use the Emporia app to check for and install any available firmware updates for the charger.
- If E12 persists only on this charger: Perform a factory reset according to the Emporia manual, then re-add the charger to your account. If still failing, the network firmware on the control board may be corrupted and the board may need replacement.
