• 1. Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate clearance around the Land Rover charger (no boxes, coats, or other items blocking airflow). Remove any obstructions.
• 2. Feel the enclosure: After a failed session, carefully touch the charger housing. If it is very hot, reduce charging current via the app (if available) and try again once cooled.
• 3. Inspect internal fan (if present): With power OFF and cover removed, check that the internal cooling fan spins freely and is not clogged with dust. Restore power briefly and confirm the fan runs during charging. Replace if seized or non-functional.
• 4. Tighten power connections: With power OFF, inspect main input and output terminals for discoloration or melted insulation. Tighten any loose screws to the specified torque.
• 5. Reduce ambient heat: If the charger is installed in direct sunlight or a confined garage, consider shading or improving ventilation. Avoid charging at full current during the hottest part of the day.
• 6. If E06 persists at normal temperatures: The temperature sensor or control board may be faulty. A technician should test the sensor and replace the sensor harness or control board as required.
