Possible Causes
Faulty internal current transformer (CT) on output, Miswired external CT for dynamic load management, Loose CT connector on control board, Control firmware misinterpreting CT signals
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Current sensors are near live conductors. Isolate power before touching internal wiring.
- 1. Check app load settings: Ensure dynamic load management is configured correctly in the Land Rover app, with the correct main supply rating.
- 2. Inspect external CTs (if used): With power OFF, verify that any external CT clamps are installed on the correct conductors and oriented as specified (arrow towards load or supply).
- 3. Inspect internal CT connections: Open the charger and locate the internal CTs around the output conductors. Confirm their connectors are firmly seated on the control board.
- 4. Power-cycle and retest: After correcting wiring, restore power and check if E18 clears.
- 5. Temporarily disable load management: If possible, disable dynamic load management in the app to see if basic charging resumes.
- 6. If E18 persists: The CTs or control board may be defective. Replacement should be performed by a qualified technician.
