Possible Causes
Stuck or damaged test button mechanism, Failed GFCI sensing electronics, Internal relay not resetting, Mechanical wear
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: If the GFCI will not reset, do not bypass it. Turn OFF power at the breaker.
Steps:
- 1. Operate test/reset: With power ON, press the test button to confirm the unit trips, then press reset. If it does not trip, or will not reset, discontinue use.
- 2. Inspect mechanism (qualified person): With power OFF and cover removed, check for physical obstruction or damage to the test/reset mechanism.
- 3. Replace GFCI module: Many Leviton EVSE units integrate GFCI into the main board or a dedicated module. Replace the defective component per Leviton service instructions.
