Possible Causes
Failed door or cover gasket, Improperly sealed conduit or cable entry, Mounting on an uneven surface causing gaps, Cracked enclosure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF power at the breaker. Do not operate the charger with visible moisture inside.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect exterior seals: Check the perimeter gasket of the front cover and around any viewing windows for cracks or gaps.
- 2. Check cable/conduit entry: Ensure strain reliefs and conduit fittings are tight and properly sealed with appropriate gaskets.
- 3. Dry the unit: With cover removed and power OFF, allow the interior to dry completely in a dry environment. Use only gentle airflow; avoid heat guns.
- 4. Replace gaskets: Install new Leviton enclosure gaskets or sealing kits if the originals are damaged.
- 5. Re-test: Once fully dry and reassembled, restore power and test operation. If faults persist, internal components may have been damaged and require replacement.
