Possible Causes

Tripped upstream breaker or RCD, Loose or disconnected supply wiring at terminal block, Blown internal fuse on control PCB, Failed auxiliary power supply on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Always verify the circuit is de-energized before opening the charger.

  • Check upstream protection: Inspect the dedicated breaker and any RCD/RCBO feeding the NewMotion charger. Reset once if tripped and observe if it holds.
  • Verify supply voltage: Using a multimeter (qualified persons only), confirm correct voltage is present at the charger’s input terminals.
  • Inspect terminal block: With power off, tighten all line, neutral, and earth connections. Look for loose or pulled-out conductors.
  • Internal fuse: Some models include an internal low-voltage fuse on the main PCB. Check and replace with the exact type and rating if blown.
  • PCB power supply: If supply is present and fuses are intact but the unit remains dead, the auxiliary power supply on the main PCB has likely failed and the board must be replaced.
