Possible Causes

Broken CP conductor in tethered cable, Corroded CP pin in Type 2 socket, Faulty CP driver circuit on main PCB, Incorrect wiring of CP to socket terminals

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Isolate power before accessing internal wiring or socket terminals.

  • Visual check of connector: Inspect the Type 2 socket or tethered plug for damage to the small CP pin. Clean light corrosion with contact cleaner and a non-metallic brush.
  • Check cable strain relief: Ensure the tethered cable is properly clamped and not pulling on internal CP wiring.
  • Continuity test: With power off, use a multimeter to check continuity of the CP wire from the main PCB CP terminal to the socket/plug CP pin. Repair or replace the cable if open.
  • Inspect PCB connector: Verify the CP wire is firmly seated in the control board terminal block or plug-in connector.
  • Test with another cable: For socketed units, try a different Type 2 cable to rule out a cable-side CP fault.
  • PCB replacement: If wiring and connector are good but E007 persists, the CP driver circuit on the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
