Possible Causes
Disconnected RFID reader module, Damaged RFID antenna behind front cover, Faulty RFID reader board, Corrupted access control configuration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the front cover where the RFID antenna is located.
- Check configuration: In the NewMotion app or web portal, verify that RFID authentication is enabled and that valid charge cards are assigned to the charger.
- Test multiple cards: Try several known-good RFID cards or fobs. If none are recognized and E010 is present, suspect hardware.
- Inspect RFID module: With power isolated, remove the front cover and locate the RFID reader PCB and antenna coil. Ensure the flat cable or connector to the main PCB is firmly seated.
- Look for physical damage: Check the antenna area for cracks, water ingress, or impact damage to the front panel.
- Dry and reseal: If moisture is present, dry the area thoroughly and check the enclosure gasket. Replace the gasket if compromised.
- Replace RFID module: If connections are good but E010 persists, replace the RFID reader module/antenna assembly as a unit.
