How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power before accessing the internal meter.
- Check configuration: In the installer portal, verify that the charger is configured for the correct internal meter type and that external meter options are not misconfigured.
- Inspect meter connections: Open the unit and locate the internal energy meter module. Ensure its power and communication connectors are firmly seated.
- Check bus wiring: Inspect the twisted-pair communication wires (e.g., RS-485 A/B) between the meter and main PCB for damage or loose terminals.
- Power reset: After reseating connectors, power the unit and check if E014 clears.
- Module replacement: If the meter remains unresponsive, replace the internal meter module with a compatible NewMotion-specified unit.
