Possible Causes

Blown upstream fuse on one phase, Loose phase conductor at terminal block, Incorrect three-phase wiring, Faulty phase detection circuit on main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Three-phase systems are hazardous. Only qualified electricians should work on them.

  • Check upstream protection: Inspect the three-phase breaker or fuses feeding the charger. Replace any blown fuses and investigate the cause.
  • Measure phase voltages: With appropriate PPE, measure L1–N, L2–N, L3–N, and between phases at the charger input. All should be within tolerance and balanced.
  • Inspect terminal block: With power off, tighten all phase and neutral terminals inside the charger. Look for signs of overheating on any one phase.
  • Confirm configuration: Ensure the charger is configured for three-phase operation if wired as such. A mismatch can trigger E016.
  • PCB fault: If voltages are correct and balanced but E016 persists, the phase detection circuitry on the main PCB may be defective and require replacement.
