Possible Causes
Damaged door gasket, Loose or improperly sealed cable glands, Incorrect mounting angle causing water pooling, Cracked enclosure or cover
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the unit to dry before further use.
- Open and inspect: With power off, remove the front cover and inspect for water tracks, rust, or condensation on the PCB and terminals.
- Dry thoroughly: Use a dry cloth and gentle airflow (no heat guns directly on components) to remove moisture. Allow several hours to air dry.
- Check seals: Inspect the perimeter gasket, cable glands, and any knockouts. Replace damaged gaskets and tighten or reseal glands with appropriate IP-rated fittings.
- Correct mounting: Ensure the charger is mounted vertically and not tilted in a way that allows water to pool on top or around glands.
- Corrosion check: If corrosion is present on the PCB or terminals, clean lightly and consider replacing severely affected parts.
- Test operation: Once fully dry and reassembled, restore power and monitor for further trips. Persistent issues may require replacing the main PCB or corroded wiring.
