LCD is on but very dim or unreadable unless viewed at a sharp angle.

Safety first: Power off before removing the front panel.

• Step 1 – Adjust contrast: If the firmware provides a contrast setting, adjust it via the menu and see if readability improves.
• Step 2 – Check supply voltage: Measure the 5 V supply on the main board. If low, the regulator or input supply may be failing; replace the main board.
• Step 3 – Inspect backlight: In a dark room, see if any backlight is present. If completely dark, the backlight circuit or LEDs may have failed; replace the LCD module.
