Possible Causes
Incorrect CT calibration constants in firmware, Wrong CT type installed, CT not fully closed or on wrong conductor, Faulty CT sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before moving the CT.
- Step 1 – Verify CT installation: Ensure the CT is fully closed around the correct line conductor and not around both line and neutral.
- Step 2 – Check firmware settings: Confirm that the CT type and calibration values in the firmware match the installed CT.
- Step 3 – Compare with clamp meter: Measure current with an external clamp meter and adjust calibration if your firmware allows.
- Step 4 – Replace CT: If readings remain inconsistent, replace the CT sensor or CT board.
