How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Warning: Do not attempt unofficial firmware or hardware modifications; this can be unsafe and void warranties.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn OFF power at the isolator/consumer unit for at least 2 minutes, then turn back ON and observe whether the error clears.
- Step 2 – Check app for update: Use the Pod Point app or installer tools to check for pending firmware updates. If an update is available, follow the official process to complete it.
- Step 3 – Stable network: Ensure the charger has a stable network connection during any firmware update to avoid further corruption.
- Step 4 – Contact Pod Point support: Provide the serial number, current firmware version (if accessible), and error details. They may push a recovery firmware or advise on next steps.
- Step 5 – PCB replacement: If the microcontroller or flash memory is irrecoverably corrupted, the entire control PCB will need replacement by a qualified technician.
