Possible Causes
Faulty internal kWh meter module, Broken communication link (e.g. RS‑485) between meter and PCB, Incorrect meter configuration in firmware, Power supply issue to meter module
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: Charging may still function, but energy reporting and billing accuracy will be affected.
- Step 1 – Power cycle: Turn OFF and ON the charger to reset the meter module.
- Step 2 – Check app data: Compare the charger’s reported energy with your vehicle’s data to see if the meter is clearly inaccurate or offline.
- Step 3 – Technician inspection: A technician can open the unit, verify that the meter module is powered, and check communication wiring between the meter and main PCB.
- Step 4 – Reconfigure meter: Using Pod Point’s service tools, re‑initialize or re‑address the meter if configuration has been lost.
- Step 5 – Replace meter module: If the meter does not respond or reports invalid values, replace it with the correct Pod Point‑approved energy meter.
