Possible Causes

Faulty communication cable between Splitvolt charger and Splitvolt Splitter Switch, Incorrect splitter configuration, Firmware mismatch between charger and splitter, Damaged splitter communication port

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power to both the charger and any Splitvolt Splitter Switch before connecting or disconnecting communication cables.

  • Verify connections: Ensure the low-voltage communication cable between the Splitvolt charger and Splitvolt Splitter Switch is fully seated at both ends and not damaged or pinched.
  • Check splitter status: Confirm that the Splitvolt Splitter Switch is powered and not showing its own error indication. Resolve any splitter errors first.
  • Remove and reseat cable: With power OFF, unplug the communication cable, inspect the connectors for bent pins or corrosion, then reconnect firmly.
  • Update firmware: If supported, update firmware on both the charger and splitter so they are on compatible versions.
  • Test charger alone: Temporarily disconnect the Splitvolt Splitter Switch and plug the charger directly into a dedicated outlet (if possible). If E11 disappears, the splitter or cable is at fault and may need replacement.
