Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display and main board, Failed LCD/LED display module, Corrupted UI firmware, Moisture ingress into front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before touching or attempting to reseat any connectors.
- Power-cycle: Turn the breaker OFF for 2–3 minutes, then ON. This can clear temporary UI communication glitches.
- Check for condensation: Inspect the front display window for signs of moisture or fogging. If present, allow the unit to dry in a low-humidity environment and improve ventilation.
- Do not pry open front panel: Opening the sealed front panel can compromise weather resistance. Internal display cables should only be accessed by a qualified technician.
- If E14 persists: The display module or its communication interface on the main board may need replacement. Contact Splitvolt support.
