Possible Causes

No ground connection at supply, High resistance ground path, Reversed line/neutral or miswired outlet, Faulty ground detection circuit on board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: A missing or faulty ground is dangerous. Do not bypass ground detection. Have wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.

  • Test outlet or supply wiring: Use a receptacle tester or multimeter to confirm correct hot/neutral/ground configuration and continuity back to the panel.
  • Inspect ground conductor: With power OFF, verify the ground wire is securely attached to the Zencar ground terminal and to the panel ground bar.
  • Check for corrosion: Look for rust or oxidation on ground lugs inside the charger and at the service panel. Clean and retighten as needed.
  • Measure ground impedance: An electrician can measure ground impedance; high values can trigger E06. Correct by improving grounding per local code.
  • If wiring is correct: The internal ground monitoring circuit on the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
