Possible Causes
Blocked ventilation openings, Failed internal cooling fan, High ambient temperature above Zencar spec, Loose thermal sensor on heat sink, Degraded thermal paste on power components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Overheated components can cause burns. Allow the charger to cool and disconnect power before opening the housing.
- Allow cooling: Stop charging and let the unit cool for at least 30 minutes. Restart and see if E07 clears.
- Check installation location: Ensure the Zencar charger is not installed in direct sun or in a confined, unventilated space. Provide at least the minimum clearance specified in the manual around vents.
- Inspect vents and fan: With power OFF, clean dust and debris from air inlets/outlets. If equipped with a fan, spin it gently by hand to check for binding. Replace the cooling fan assembly if it does not run when the unit is hot.
- Check temperature sensor: Verify the thermistor or temperature probe is firmly attached to the main heat sink or power module and its connector is secure on the control board.
- If E07 persists in normal ambient conditions: The temperature sensor or main control PCB may be faulty and should be replaced.
