Possible Causes

Incorrect phase configuration, Use of non-approved adapters, Reversed line and neutral, Shared neutral on multi-wire branch circuit, Faulty line sensing circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Incorrect wiring can create shock and fire hazards. Only qualified persons should modify wiring.

  • Remove adapters: Disconnect any third-party adapters or extension cords. Plug the Zencar charger directly into a properly wired receptacle or hardwired circuit.
  • Verify wiring configuration: For single-phase models, confirm correct line/neutral/ground connections. For split-phase or three-phase capable units, ensure phases are connected as per Zencar wiring diagram.
  • Check for shared neutrals: Ensure the charger is on a dedicated circuit without shared neutrals that can confuse phase detection.
  • Inspect internal terminals: With power OFF, verify that L1, L2 (if used), N, and PE are correctly landed and labeled inside the charger.
  • If wiring is correct and E08 remains: The line sensing circuit on the main control PCB may be defective and require replacement.
