Possible Causes
Open-circuit thermistor, Shorted temperature sensor wiring, Disconnected sensor plug, Failed ADC input on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before opening the charger housing.
- Check ambient conditions: Verify the charger is operating within Zencar's specified temperature range. Extremely low or high temperatures can trigger sensor faults.
- Inspect sensor connection: Locate the thermistor or temperature sensor on the heat sink or power module and ensure its connector is fully seated on the main board.
- Check sensor wiring: Look for pinched or cut sensor wires inside the unit.
- Measure sensor resistance: With power OFF and sensor disconnected, measure resistance and compare to Zencar's temperature/resistance chart. Infinite or near-zero resistance indicates a bad sensor; replace the temperature sensor / thermistor.
- If sensor tests good: The temperature input circuit on the main control PCB may be faulty and require replacement.
