Possible Causes
Faulty door switch input on PCB, Shorted door switch wiring, Incorrect door sensor polarity, PCB input circuit damage
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before working on door switches or PCB.
- Check door switch: Follow the steps under E7 to verify the door switch or reed sensor is working correctly.
- Inspect wiring: Trace the door switch wires to the PCB, looking for pinched or shorted sections.
- Reseat connector: Disconnect and reconnect the door switch connector on the main board.
- Test behavior: Restore power and open/close the door to see if F7 clears and the alarm behaves normally.
If the switch and wiring are good but F7 persists, the door input circuit on the main control board is likely damaged and the board should be replaced by a technician.
