Possible Causes

Cabinet sensor reading too warm causing overcooling, Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Incorrect SuperFreeze mode left active, Faulty control panel buttons

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal work is needed for initial checks. Unplug the freezer if you open any panels.

  • Check settings: Ensure SuperFreeze or fast-freeze mode is not activated. Turn it off and wait several hours.
  • Verify setpoint: Confirm the temperature setting is around –18°C and not at the coldest setting.
  • Power reset: Unplug the freezer for 5–10 minutes to reset the control. Reconnect and monitor.
  • Monitor compressor: If the compressor runs almost continuously even after adjustments, the control board or sensor may be faulty. Follow cabinet sensor checks (E2).
  • Protect food: If temperature is excessively low (below –25°C) and cannot be adjusted, move sensitive items to another freezer and arrange for service.

Persistent overcooling usually indicates a control or sensor fault that should be addressed by a technician.
