Possible Causes
Drifted NTC sensor, Poor sensor placement, Firmware calibration issue, Sensor partially shorted by moisture
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing sensors.
- Verify with thermometer: Place an accurate freezer thermometer inside and compare to the displayed temperature after several hours.
- Inspect sensor: Locate the cabinet sensor and ensure it is properly positioned and not encased in ice or touching metal surfaces.
- Replace sensor: If the discrepancy is large and stable, replace the Balay cabinet NTC temperature sensor.
If the error remains after sensor replacement, the control board's calibration may be off and the board may need replacement.
