Freezer exterior side walls feel very hot to the touch.

Safety: Surfaces may be hot but should not burn. If you smell burning plastic, unplug immediately.

• Improve ventilation: Ensure adequate clearance around the freezer and that air can circulate freely at the back and sides.
• Clean condenser: Vacuum dust from the rear condenser coils and fan.
• Check ambient temperature: Verify that the room temperature is within Balay's specified operating range.
• Monitor: If the sides remain extremely hot and the compressor runs constantly, arrange for service to check the sealed system.

Some warmth on the sides is normal, but excessive heat indicates the system is under stress.
