Possible Causes

Failed LED module, Open LED driver circuit on main PCB or light board, Loose light connector in cabinet, Damaged wiring in door or liner

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing light covers or accessing wiring.

Access the LED module:

  • Remove the interior light lens by gently prying or releasing clips.
  • Identify the LED board and its connector.

Inspect and test:

  • Check for burn marks or discoloration on the LED board.
  • Ensure the connector is fully seated.
  • If you have a compatible low-voltage source and knowledge, you can bench-test the LED module; otherwise, substitution with a known-good module is typical.

Check wiring and driver:

  • Trace the light wiring back to the main PCB or a separate LED driver board.
  • Inspect for pinched or broken wires, especially near hinges or tight bends.

Corrective actions:

  • Replace LED module: If the module is visibly damaged or non-functional, install a new Blomberg-compatible LED light assembly.
  • Repair wiring: Fix any damaged wires and secure them away from moving parts.
  • If the LED and wiring are good but E14 persists and lights do not work, the LED driver circuit on the main PCB may be faulty and the board should be replaced.

Test: Restore power and open the door to confirm proper lighting and that E14 has cleared.
