- Remove the rear lower panel and inspect the condenser coil for dust and lint buildup.
- Clean the condenser thoroughly with a soft brush and vacuum. Avoid bending fins.
Door and gasket check:
- Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or warping. Close a sheet of paper in the door at various points; it should have firm resistance when pulled.
- Adjust hinges or replace the gasket if sealing is poor.
Evaporator frost pattern:
- After several hours of operation, remove the interior rear panel and inspect the evaporator.
- A healthy system shows an even frost pattern across most of the coil. Frost only on a small section near the inlet suggests low charge or restriction.
