Possible Causes
Partially blocked defrost drain, Door gasket leak allowing moist air in, Cabinet not level causing water to pool at front, Cracked drain trough
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before defrosting or working near electrical parts.
Defrost and inspect:
- Turn off the freezer and allow all ice on the floor to melt.
- Remove drawers and inspect the drain trough and drain hole at the back.
Clear drain:
- Flush the drain hole with warm water until it flows freely.
- Check the drain tube from the rear and clear any obstructions.
Check door seal and level:
- Inspect and test the door gasket; repair or replace if leaking.
- Level the cabinet so water flows toward the rear drain.
Test: Restart the freezer and monitor for recurrence over the next week.
