Display shows dO or door open icon, alarm beeps even when door appears closed.

Safety: Disconnect power before removing door switch or trim.

Steps:

• Check alignment: Ensure the door closes squarely and fully. Adjust leveling feet so the cabinet is not twisted.
• Inspect gasket: Look for warped or torn sections of the Fisher & Paykel door gasket. Warm and reshape minor warps with a hair dryer; replace if badly damaged.
• Test door switch: Press the door switch by hand; the interior light should turn off and the alarm should stop. If not, test and replace the door switch.
• Magnet/reed systems: Confirm the door magnet is present and aligned with the reed switch in the cabinet. Replace missing magnets or faulty reed switches.
