Possible Causes
Unit not leveled, loose internal panels or baskets, refrigerant lines touching cabinet, loose compressor mounting hardware
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before adjusting internal components or accessing the rear.
Steps:
- Level the unit: Use a spirit level and adjust the front leveling feet so the Fisher & Paykel freezer is stable and does not rock.
- Secure baskets and shelves: Ensure all baskets and shelves are properly seated and not vibrating against the liner.
- Check tubing: At the rear, inspect refrigerant lines and wiring harnesses. Gently bend or pad any lines that are touching the cabinet and causing rattles (do not kink tubing).
- Compressor mounts: Verify compressor mounting bolts and grommets are secure. Replace worn compressor mounting grommets if necessary.
