Freezer not cooling at all, interior at room temperature, lights may work but no cold air.

Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing the compressor or control board. Do not attempt to open the sealed system.

Steps:

• Listen for compressor: After plugging in briefly, listen at the back. If you hear only a click or nothing at all, unplug and continue.
• Check control settings: Ensure the freezer is switched on at the control panel and not in demo mode (if applicable).
• Access compressor compartment: Remove the rear lower panel to expose the compressor and start device.
• Inspect start device: Remove the start relay/overload from the compressor. If it rattles when shaken or shows burn marks, replace the compressor start relay/overload.
• Control board: If the start device is good and the compressor still does not receive power, the main control board may be faulty and should be replaced.
• Compressor failure: If a technician confirms open or shorted windings, the compressor must be replaced by a licensed refrigeration technician.
