Possible Causes
Door not fully closed, Faulty door switch, Misaligned door, Control board alarm logic fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No internal work is needed for basic checks; unplug the unit before accessing switches or boards.
- Ensure door closure: Check that nothing is blocking the door from closing fully, such as protruding food packages or shelves.
- Inspect gasket and alignment: Make sure the door gasket is sealing and the cabinet is level so the door closes naturally.
- Test door switch: Press the door switch manually. If the beeping stops when pressed, the switch is working. If not, see the door switch fault section and consider replacing the door switch.
- Alarm reset: Some Galanz models allow you to silence or reset the alarm via the control panel. Refer to the user manual for the specific button combination.
- Control issue: If the alarm persists despite a good switch and closed door, the main control board may be misreading the door status and could require replacement.
