Freezer cabinet sides feel very hot to the touch during operation.

Possible Causes
Normal heat from condenser loop in cabinet walls, Poor ventilation around freezer, Dirty condenser coils, Overloaded freezer causing long run times
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Some warmth on the cabinet sides is normal, but excessive heat may indicate a problem. Unplug the unit before cleaning coils.
- Check clearance: Ensure there is adequate space (usually at least several inches) around the sides, back, and top of the freezer for air circulation.
- Clean condenser: Vacuum dust from the rear or bottom condenser coils and fan area.
- Reduce load: Avoid overpacking the freezer, which can cause long compressor run times and more heat.
- Monitor: After cleaning and improving ventilation, monitor cabinet temperature. If it remains extremely hot or you smell burning, unplug and have a technician inspect the sealed system.
