Galanz
Normal Vacuum Effect / Check Valve Issue
Freezer door is difficult to open right after closing; feels like it is stuck or vacuum-sealed.

Possible Causes
Normal pressure equalization after door closure, Faulty cabinet pressure equalization valve (if equipped), Door gasket sealing too tightly
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required. Do not use excessive force that could damage the door or gasket.
- Wait a few minutes: It is normal for a freezer door to be hard to open for 30–60 seconds after closing due to pressure changes. Wait and try again.
- Check equalization vent: Some Galanz freezers have a small vent or check valve to equalize pressure. Ensure it is not blocked by dust or packaging.
- Inspect gasket: If the gasket is extremely sticky, lightly wipe it with a damp cloth and a small amount of food-safe silicone lubricant to reduce sticking.
- Verify level: Make sure the cabinet is level so the door does not twist and bind.
