Freezer interior light stays on even when the door is closed, causing warming and condensation near the light.

Safety: Unplug the freezer before working on the door switch or light circuit.

• Check door alignment: Ensure the door closes squarely and fully. Adjust leveling feet so the cabinet is not twisted, which can prevent the door from contacting the switch.
• Test the switch: Press and release the door switch by hand. The light should turn off when pressed. If it does not, the switch may be faulty.
• Replace the switch: Remove the switch from the frame (usually pried out gently or held by a screw) and install a new Galanz door switch. Transfer wires one at a time.
• Control board issue: If the light remains on even with the switch disconnected, the main control board may be shorted and require replacement.
• Prevent heat damage: Until repaired, you can temporarily remove the bulb or disconnect the light module to prevent warming the freezer interior.
