Possible Causes
Freezer not level, Loose internal panels or shelves, Rear cover panel vibrating, Copper lines touching cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before tightening panels or adjusting components near electrical parts.
- Level the freezer: Use a bubble level on top of the cabinet. Adjust the front leveling feet until the unit is stable and does not rock when pushed.
- Secure shelves and baskets: Ensure all shelves, baskets, and drawers are properly seated and not rattling against each other.
- Tighten rear cover: Check the screws on the rear lower cover. Tighten any loose screws and ensure the panel is not vibrating against the frame.
- Isolate tubing: If you hear metal-on-metal rattling, gently reposition any refrigerant lines touching the cabinet and secure them with foam or clips.
- Check interior panels: Remove and reseat the interior rear panel to ensure it is not loose and vibrating against the evaporator or fan housing.
