High Cabinet Temperature Around Condenser Loop
Freezer exterior sides or front frame feel very hot to the touch

Possible Causes
Dirty condenser coils, Blocked ventilation, High ambient room temperature, Condenser fan failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the freezer before cleaning coils or accessing the fan. Surfaces may be hot; allow to cool.
Steps to reduce exterior heat:
- Check ventilation: Ensure there is adequate clearance around the freezer (typically at least 2–3 inches on sides and back) and that vents are not blocked.
- Clean condenser coils: Vacuum dust and lint from the coils under or behind the unit. Use a coil brush for stubborn debris.
- Verify condenser fan: With power on and compressor running, confirm the condenser fan motor is operating. Replace if not running or noisy.
- Monitor ambient temperature: If the freezer is in a very warm room, consider relocating it or improving room ventilation.
Note: Some warmth on the cabinet frame is normal, but surfaces should not be too hot to touch for more than a few seconds.
