Possible Causes
Child lock feature enabled, Stuck or damaged control buttons, Faulty user interface PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Note: This is usually a feature, not a fault.
- Disable child lock: On many Gorenje freezers, press and hold the Lock or a combination of keys (e.g., Super Freeze + Temperature Down) for 3–5 seconds until the lock icon disappears. Refer to the user manual for the exact key combination.
- Check button function: If the lock will not disable, test other buttons. If some buttons are unresponsive, the keypad or UI PCB may be faulty.
- Power reset: Unplug the freezer for 5 minutes, then reconnect and try disabling the lock again.
- Replace UI PCB: If the lock indication is stuck and buttons do not respond after reset, the user interface PCB may need replacement.
