Possible Causes

Freezer not level, Loose compressor mounting, Vibrating copper refrigerant lines touching cabinet, Loose internal fan or panel

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before adjusting internal components or accessing the rear.

  • Level the appliance: Use a spirit level and adjust the front feet so the freezer is stable and does not rock.
  • Check compressor mounts: Access the rear and gently move the compressor. Tighten or replace rubber mounts if excessively loose.
  • Inspect refrigerant lines: Look for copper tubes touching each other or the cabinet. Gently bend them apart slightly to prevent contact, taking care not to kink or crack them.
  • Secure panels and fan: Inside the freezer, ensure the fan shroud and inner panels are firmly screwed in place. Tighten any loose screws.
