• Check door alignment: Ensure the door is level and not sagging. Adjust hinges or leveling feet if necessary.
• Inspect gasket and obstructions: Make sure nothing prevents full closure and that the gasket is not folded.
• Test door switch/sensor: Press the switch manually (if visible) and see if the alarm stops. If not, the switch or sensor may be faulty.
• Replace sensor/switch: Install the correct Hotpoint-Ariston door switch or reed sensor and verify the alarm clears when the door is closed.
