How to Fix / Troubleshooting

- Access compressor: Remove the rear lower cover. Locate the small plastic housing on the side of the compressor (start device and overload).
- Inspect components: Remove the start device and overload. Look for burn marks, rattling pieces inside the relay, or melted plastic.
- Shake test: Gently shake the start relay; if it rattles, it is often failed.
- Replace start device/overload: Install a new Hotpoint-Ariston start relay and overload protector specified for your compressor model.
- Reassemble and test: Refit the cover, restore power, and listen for the compressor starting smoothly.
