Error F08; interior light or fan may not operate correctly when door is opened or closed.

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing switch covers or working on wiring.

• Test door switch: Open and close the door while observing the interior light. If the light does not respond, the switch or sensor may be faulty.
• Locate switch/sensor: On many Hotpoint-Ariston freezers, the switch is in the door frame or a reed sensor is hidden with a magnet in the door.
• Inspect and clean: Remove any visible switch and clean contacts. Ensure the door magnet (if used) is present and aligned.
• Check continuity: With a multimeter, test the switch for continuity when pressed and released. Replace if defective.
• Replace sensor/switch: Install the correct Hotpoint-Ariston door switch or reed sensor and reassemble trim.
