Possible Causes
Blocked internal defrost drain, Ice plug in drain trough, Misaligned evaporator cover allowing water to bypass drain
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before working inside. Use towels to catch melting ice and water.
- Remove ice: Take out drawers and chip away loose ice with a plastic tool. Do not use metal tools that can puncture the liner or evaporator.
- Access drain trough: Remove the rear internal panel to expose the evaporator and drain trough.
- Defrost drain: Pour warm water into the drain trough until the ice plug melts and water flows freely down the drain.
- Check panel fit: Reinstall the evaporator cover correctly so that defrost water is directed into the trough.
