How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the freezer before accessing controls or sensors.

Control setting:

Raise the temperature setting one or two levels toward warmer and monitor for 24 hours.

Check thermostat or sensor:

On mechanical models, test the thermostat for continuity. It should open (no continuity) when the interior is sufficiently cold. If it remains closed, replace the thermostat.
On electronic models, test the cabinet thermistor resistance at known temperatures and replace if out of spec.

Control board:

If the compressor runs almost continuously despite correct sensor readings, the main control board relay may be stuck and the board should be replaced.
