Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Excessive warm food load, Evaporator fan not running, Condenser coils clogged

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing any panels. Avoid using sharp tools on plastic parts or the evaporator.

Step-by-step:

  • Check door closure: Make sure the door is fully closing and no baskets or food packages are blocking it. Inspect the door gasket for gaps, tears, or hardened sections. Clean the gasket with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
  • Reduce warm load: If you recently loaded a large quantity of unfrozen food, remove some items or spread them out. Allow 12–24 hours for temperature to stabilize.
  • Verify internal airflow: Ensure air vents inside the Ignis freezer are not blocked by food. Move items away from the rear and side walls.
  • Clean condenser: Pull the unit away from the wall, unplug it, and vacuum dust from the condenser coils and compressor area (usually at the rear or underneath). Ensure the condenser fan (if fitted) spins freely.
  • Check evaporator fan operation: With the unit plugged in and running, briefly open the door and press the door switch in; you should hear the evaporator fan running inside the freezer compartment. If it is silent or noisy, the evaporator fan motor may be faulty and should be replaced.
  • Reset alarm: After temperature recovers (below the alarm threshold), press and hold the alarm or reset button (if present) according to the Ignis user manual to clear AL01.

If AL01 returns within a few hours despite good sealing and airflow, contact a technician to check the sealed system and control board.
