Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing control panels or handling wiring.
- Locate ambient sensor: On many Ignis freezers, the ambient sensor is near the control panel or in the upper front area behind a small grille.
- Inspect sensor and wiring: Remove the control panel cover. Check the small NTC sensor and its wires for damage, moisture, or corrosion at the connector.
- Clean and reseat: Disconnect the sensor plug, clean contacts with electrical contact cleaner, and reconnect firmly.
- Test sensor: Measure resistance and compare to Ignis specifications for room temperature. Replace the ambient NTC sensor if readings are out of range or intermittent when you gently move the wires.
If AL06 persists with a known-good sensor, the main control board may have a failed sensor input circuit and will likely need replacement by a professional.
