How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the freezer before removing the door switch or trim.
- Locate door switch: Usually mounted in the door frame or ceiling of the freezer compartment.
- Test switch: Remove the switch and check continuity with a multimeter while pressing and releasing it. Replace the door switch if readings are inconsistent.
- Check alignment: If a magnetic sensor is used, ensure the magnet in the door aligns correctly with the sensor in the cabinet.
If E7 persists with a new switch, the control board input circuit may be defective and require professional replacement.
