Possible Causes

Safety first: Unplug the freezer before deep cleaning.

Empty and clean: Remove all food and shelves. Wash interior surfaces with a solution of baking soda and warm water.
Clean gasket: Pull back the door gasket folds and clean thoroughly to remove trapped debris.
Clean drain pan: Access the drip tray above the compressor and clean it with mild detergent.
Air out: Leave the door open for several hours to ventilate before restarting.
